Background
In this case, the patient presented with acute pain that increased when biting, and upon radiographic analysis, a combined endo-perio lesion was identified, which worsened the patient’s prognosis for the first molar.
Case Description
Due to the proximity of the maxillary sinus floor, ridge preservation was conducted with OSSIXTM Bone to minimize dimensional changes. Moreover, platelet-rich fibrin was used to enhance the stability of the bone filler. A re-entry was performed four-month later to place the implant without the need for additional ridge augmentation. A cone beam computed tomography was performed at the two-year follow-up for other reasons. Read more in the attached case study for further details.
